ANTIQUE SINGER 12k NEW FAMILY SEWING MACHINE
~~ Transverse shuttle ~~ Fiddle Base ~~ Circa 1889 A fine example of a 12k Singer sewing machine... Dated 1889 manufactured at the Kilbowie factory Scotland. Two serial numbers present due to this being an early model. The highest number 8760428 represents the date. Gorgeous design, decals very bright and clear all round apart from the front corner area. Back hand crank and balance wheel have a few chipped areas but nothing to strike the eye. Notice the bobbin winder has a spoon and level wind device. Complete with case with inner attachment compartment (no attachments) and also has boat shuttle and bobbin. Machine produces a georgeous clean straight stitch... full working order
